Overview of Professional
Staff
The Physical Therapy profession is progressing in
the direction of Board Certification and Doctorate
Level education as the norm for clinicians. The American
Physical Therapy Association has included these goals
in their Vision 2020 statement which calls for all
professional physical therapy programs to be Doctorate
Level by the year 2020. Currently, less than 1% of
Physical Therapists nationwide are Board Certified
Specialists and less than 1% have their Doctorate
Degree.
At HealthWorks, we are ahead of
the curve:
Dr. Matt Hornsby: Board
Certified Specialist in Clinical Electrophysiology
Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy
Mr. Mark H. Blakely:
Board Certified Specialist in Clinical Orthopedics
Masters Degree in Physical Therapy
Recently admitted to Physical Therapy doctorate program
Mr. Kevin O. McAlister:
Board Certified Specialist in Clinical Orthopedics
Masters Degree in Physical Therapy
Recently admitted to Physical Therapy doctorate program
Ms. Megan M. Woody:
Recent Graduate, Masters Degree in Physical Therapy
Additionally, all new professional staff appreciates
that continuing education is the expectation; Board
Certification and/or Doctorate Level credentials are
the goal.
