Board Certification
Mr. McAlister is a Board Certified Clinical
Specialists in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS),
and as such is a specialist in the evaluation and
treatment of orthopedic-related injuries. Specialty
Certification identifies and verifies those physical
therapists that are committed to clinical excellence
in their chosen area. After a strict qualification
process, applicants must then pass an 8- hour certification
exam administered by the National Board of Medical
Examiners. To maintain the certified specialist designation,
individuals must re-certify every 10 years. Currently,
only 2% of the physical therapists in North Carolina
and 1% nation-wide have achieved Board Certified status.
