Experience
Miss Woody has been a regular face at HealthWorks
for some time. She completed her Exercise and Sports
Science internship at HealthWorks. Following the internship,
Miss Woody continued working here as a Physical Therapy
technician while she was pursuing her Physical Therapy
degree. She has a strong background in general exercise
and fitness as she also has served as both a Fitness
Instructor and Facility Supervisor for the Western
Carolina University Fitness Center.
Areas
of Interest
• Miss Woody has a special interest
in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Pediatric Physical
Therapy.
• As part of her clinical training, she performed
internships in a variety of settings including hospital-based
physical therapy facilities, orthopedic clinics, home
health services and a school for multi-handicapped
children.
• Miss Woody spent many hours in the training
room while at WCU as the student trainer for the WCU
women’s soccer team
• Research topic in graduate school: Postural
Control Interventions in Community-Dwelling Older
Adults: A Systematic Review.
• While in school, Miss Woody was actively involved
in a campus ministry as well as intramural sports
• Alumni of Phi Sigma Pi – A national
Co-Ed Honors Fraternity.
